550 New Trees Planted on Substation Grounds

Employees of the “Western” branch of “High Voltage Electric Networks” CJSC found a unique way to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus.

Responding to the call of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to plant 10 million trees in 2020, they carried out a fruit tree planting initiative between April 1–8 in the non-operational areas of the 220 kV substations in the cities of Gyumri and Talin, part of the “Western” branch.

While strictly observing social distancing and safety rules, the team planted around 550 fruit trees — including apricot, apple, pear, plum, peach, quince, cherry, and others.
