Under the agreement, the European Union will provide Armenia with a total of €143 million in support for 2026-2028, of which €90 million will be in the form of a budget support grant and €53 million in the form of technical assistance.
Budget support areas include public finance management and internal control, export diversification, visa liberalization dialogue and rule of law, employment, skills, social inclusion.
The agreement follows on from the Resilience and Growth Plan for Armenia, announced by the EU during the high-level trilateral meeting held in Brussels on April 5, 2024, with a total value of €270 million, and is also intended to support the new agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership.
