The first public meeting of the tender committee for the selection of the main contractor for the construction of the "Ddmashen" substation under Lot 1 of the "Caucasus Power Grid" (Armenia-Georgia transmission line/substations) project, implemented with the support of the Reconstruction Loan Bank (KfW), was held at "High Voltage Power Grids" CJSC.
The Chairman of the Tender Committee, General Director of “High Voltage Electric Networks” CJSC, David Mirzoyan, informed that two companies, “Andritz GmbH” and “China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd.”, submitted applications for participation in the tender for the selection of the general contractor for Lot 1 by the established deadline.
Following the procedure of the “Instructions to Bidders” section of the Tender Documents, only the technical applications submitted by the bidders participating in the tender were opened during the session. The representative of the “Fichtner” consulting company, with the assistance of the representatives of the bidding companies, opened the documents in alphabetical order and checked their completeness. The unopened financial proposals were handed over to the Chairman of the Tender Committee for safekeeping. The Chairman of the Commission, David Mirzoyan, noted that they will be opened only after the approval of the technical bid evaluation report, and the conclusion of a full-fledged contract with the winning bidder will be possible after a detailed study of the technical and financial bids and approval of the relevant reports in accordance with the established procedure.
In order to consider the technical proposals submitted by the bidders and present their results to the Commission, it was decided to create a working group by order of the General Director of “High-Voltage Electric Networks” CJSC.
The public session of the Tender Commission was also followed online by representatives of the “Fichtner” consulting company and other bidders.
