The progress and upcoming tasks of the “Caucasian Electricity Transmission Network (Armenia–Georgia transmission line/substations)” project were discussed during a working meeting held at the “High Voltage Electric Networks” company.
The meeting was attended by the working group of “High Voltage Electric Networks,” led by Acting General Director Hayk Hayrapetyan, as well as Yulia Morawitz, Head of Energy Sector Programs for Armenia at the German Development Bank (KfW), Ralf Künast, Chief Engineer for Energy Sector Programs, and Zara Chatinyan, representative of the KfW Armenia office.
During the meeting, issues related to the “Caucasian Electricity Transmission Network” project, implemented with the support of KfW, were discussed.
Both sides emphasized that the project has strategic importance for Armenia’s energy system, the development of energy infrastructure, increasing system reliability, as well as fostering mutually beneficial regional cooperation in the energy sector.
